From the Pastor

I am delighted that you have chosen to visit our church’s website. We are here to serve you. We are part of the Seventh-day Adventist organization—a worldwide movement numbering approximately 23,000,000. We describe ourselves as a conservative Protestant body of evangelical Christians whose faith is grounded in the Bible and centered on Jesus, with stress on His atoning death on the cross, ministry in the heavenly sanctuary, and soon return to redeem His people. We are known for our Sabbath observance, for our emphasis on maintaining health as part of religious duty, and for our mission activities around the world.

Here at Bronx, our immediate focus is to spread the message of hope and to prepare the people of our community for the Second Coming of Christ. We are a people of hope and as such, we can help you understand the Bible to find freedom, healing and hope in Jesus. In the midst of the brokenness and degradation that is so prevalent in our world today, many people despair. If you are discouraged, broken, lonely, or troubled, or if you just need someone to talk to, we are here for you. You can reach me at cgreene@northeastern.org to schedule an appointment.

As a Bible believing community of faith, we observe the Bible Sabbath—the seventh-day of the week. As such, we have Sabbath services weekly at our worship center— 1695 Washington Avenue, Bronx NY, 10457. We begin with Sabbath School Bible study time at 9:15am and then transition into our worship service which commences at 11:15am and lasts until approximately 1:00pm. We strongly encourage you to join us in person for a spirit-filled and biblically based worship experience. If you are not within the proximity of our location, you may then join us for our live Sabbath service via our YouTube channel @BronxSDAChurch. We also have Pastor’s Bible Class at 3pm on Sabbaths and Adventist Youth meeting at 4:30pm. I also have a weekly vestry day on Thursdays from 10:30am to 4:00pm at our church at 1695 Washington Avenue, Bronx NY, 10457.
